as i have started to better define my thesis subject, i experience mingled feelings about economics in general. sometimes i have the impression economics is the science of everything as economic theory can mainly explain everything we experience in our daily life.
but there are moments when, exactly due to the fact that economists gained this over-confidence that they can argue on whatever it happens, i have the feeling that this science, by some called `alphabet`, can very easily reach its limits.
it's rather frustrating, but, in the end, i suppose, challenging to yearn for transforming your idea into a model. the safe way, if there's no innovative model, is to describe stylized facts (when you have data) and conclude that "further developments should follow".
anyway, developing a relationship with economics is complicated (like one of the status alternatives we have on facebook), it's like a love-hate relationship, like i guess all of them are...
